Our Oshawa campus has an immediate need for an experienced licensed Lawyer to teach within our legal faculty.
The successful candidate must be a licensed Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Upper Canada. 3-5 years practical experience is mandatory. Ideally you will have experience with matters in small claims court, civil litigation, contract law and/or employment law. In addition, preference will be given to candidates that have Real Estate Law experience and/or experience in Civil & Family Law and/or Wills & Estates. Proficiency in a variety of legal software programs is essential including PC Law and DIVORCEmate. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Your professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role.
This position would suit a retired lawyer. This position is considered a permanent part-time opportunity, working on average four (4) hours per day, Monday to Friday either 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Noon) or 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
